SMS Terms of Service

These SMS Terms of Service ("SMS Terms") describe the text-message communications we send. They supplement our Privacy Policy. By having an established business relationship with Vernon Davault Plumbing Company, you may receive operational SMS messages from us as described below.

1. Who we are

Vernon Davault Plumbing Company is a Texas-licensed plumbing contractor (TX Master Plumber License #M-7870) operating in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex since 1975. We specialize in custom residential plumbing for new home construction.

2. Who receives our text messages

We send operational SMS messages only to existing business contacts:

  • Builders (general contractors and homebuilders) we hold active construction contracts with
  • Subcontractors engaged through our subcontractor agreements
  • Employees and apprentices
  • Material suppliers in our standing purchase-order relationships

We do not currently send SMS to homeowners or end customers. If we add homeowner SMS in the future, we will update these terms first and obtain explicit consent at the time phone numbers are collected.

We do not send promotional or marketing messages. We do not message anyone we do not have an active business relationship with.

3. How phone numbers are obtained

Phone numbers used for SMS are obtained in the normal course of business when a relationship is established:

  • At construction contract signing or initial project engagement (builders)
  • At subcontractor engagement (subcontractors)
  • On hiring paperwork (employees and apprentices)
  • As part of the standing purchase-order relationship (material suppliers)

We do not purchase, rent, scrape, or otherwise acquire phone numbers from third parties.

4. What kinds of messages we send

All messages are operational and transactional. Categories include:

  • Job scheduling and tech ETAs (example: Tech ETA 8:15 AM at 412 Oak St.)
  • Audit packet availability notifications to builders
  • Subcontractor work requests with confirmation links
  • Material order communications (pickup notifications to suppliers)
  • Account-related notifications (password resets, account changes for employees)

We do not send marketing messages, promotional offers, surveys, advertising content, sweepstakes, contests, or any messages unrelated to active business operations.

Every message identifies us with the prefix Vernon Davault Plumbing: so you know who it is from before opening.

5. Message frequency

Frequency varies by recipient type and project activity. Typical ranges:

  • Builders during active project work: a handful per week
  • Subcontractors with assigned work: a few per week
  • Employees: account-related messages are infrequent
  • Material suppliers: as orders are placed

There is no fixed per-month cap. Our overall outbound volume is approximately 100–500 messages per month total across all recipients.

6. Message and data rates

Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your wireless carrier and plan. We do not charge any fee for the messages we send. Carrier charges, if any, are between you and your carrier.

7. How to opt out

You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying any of the following keywords to any message we send:

  • STOP
  • UNSUBSCRIBE
  • CANCEL
  • END
  • QUIT

You will receive one confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out, after which we will not send further SMS to that number.

If you opted out and want to resume SMS, reply START or UNSTOP to a previous message thread, or contact us directly at 817-688-0496 or office@davaultplumbing.com.

Opting out of SMS does not opt you out of email or other forms of business communication. To stop other communications, contact us directly.

9. Replies and inbound messages

The phone number we send from is for outbound notifications only. Replies to that number receive an automated response directing you to our main contact line.

10. Carrier responsibility

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We rely on Twilio (a registered messaging provider) and the carrier networks to deliver messages. Delivery is not guaranteed.

11. Privacy

Information collected and used through SMS is governed by our Privacy Policy. In particular:

  • We do not share phone numbers with third parties for marketing purposes
  • We do not sell phone numbers
  • SMS opt-in data is not shared for any purpose other than delivering the service

12. Changes to these SMS Terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The Last updated date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by SMS or email to active recipients.
